Pet Annual Wellness Exams
Pet Annual Wellness Exams
In addition to being your pet’s caregiver, you are also their most trustworthy and powerful ally.
We think that pets should get annual wellness exams.
You don’t just take care of an animal buddy occasionally. It requires a lifetime commitment to care. Your pet’s prospects of leading a long, healthy life depend upon annual preventative care exams. For pets seven years of age and older, we recommend bi-annual exams to catch age-related health concerns quickly. As our pets age, their overall health can rapidly change, just like humans. As cheesy as it sounds, “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,” and we stand by this. By putting your energy towards maintaining your pet’s health through preventative care exams, you are building the foundation of wellness care—one of the most crucial aspects of your pet’s long-term health and happiness. Muddy Creek Animal Hospital offers a wide range of wellness programs to help our patients maintain long-term good health.
Your pet will receive annual or bi-annual preventative wellness exams and comprehensive vaccinations as needed, plus parasite treatment and control throughout their life. Our veterinarians will collaborate with you and get to know your pet to develop a customized approach to their health care. Our integrative medical treatment uses a multi-faceted approach to offer your pet the best care possible, including regular diagnostic testing, nutrition counseling, ultrasound, or whatever your pet needs to thrive. We understand that your pet is unique, and there is no “one size fits all” approach to veterinary care. At Muddy Creek Animal Hospital, we want to create a system of care that can meet your pets’ specific demands throughout their lives, from puppy- or kitten-hood through old age.
Why are wellness checks for pets so crucial?
By regularly examining your pet, we can rapidly detect possible medical concerns before they grow more significant (and expensive). Early intervention for illness and disease dramatically increases the likelihood of a successful outcome. This is even more important for our senior patients. As our pets get older, their health can rapidly change in a short period. Therefore, we recommend pets seven years and older have exams twice a year. Early disease intervention and wellness care significantly increase the lifespan and quality of your pet’s life.
Our staff is dedicated to client education as part of our wellness services. We firmly believe that you are not only your pet’s best friend and caregiver but also their advocate and strongest ally. And the more you know, the better equipped you are to make decisions for your pet throughout their life. It is important to us to actively involve you in your pet’s healthcare in all we do. Our goal is to give you all the knowledge, instruction, and assistance you require to keep your cherished pet happy and healthy throughout the year between veterinary visits.
Our support staff and veterinarians love getting to know you and your pet! By building trust and understanding between our team, you, and your pet, we can give your pet the best chance to live a long and happy life. We believe a strong foundation of wellness care is the basis of high-quality medical care.
